LONDON UNDERGROUND STRIKE CAUSES SEVERE DISRUPTION.

London Underground strike causes severe disruption.

London's public transport system is facing a week of strikes. The RMT union has announced several days of industrial action, which is shaping up to be the most severe series of strikes on the Tube in three years. The protest, which includes pickets at the entrances of some stations, has paralyzed all traffic, causing widespread chaos and disruption that is expected to continue until at least Thursday. The RMT is demanding a salary increase and a reduction of the work week to 35 hours for drivers, maintenance workers, and signal operators.
