MICHELE NOSCHESE, ITALIAN DJ DIES "SUDDENLY": INVESTIGATIONS UNDERWAY
The world of techno and electronic music mourns the passing of Michele Noschese, known as "DJ Godzi," who died suddenly at the age of 35. Investigations are currently underway to determine the cause of his death.
In an interview with Paginasette, Noschese explained that his stage name, "DJ Godzi," was a tribute to Godzilla: "It partly comes from my 'Godzilla-like' movements," he told the online portal, "my idol when I was a kid."
The case concerning the 35-year-old is being followed with the utmost attention by the Italian Consulate General in Barcelona, in close coordination with the Farnesina (Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs), since the first report. The consulate, according to LaPresse news agency, is providing all possible consular assistance to Noschese's family, with whom it is in constant contact and has already shared contacts for 'favorably known' lawyers. An autopsy is currently being performed on the DJ's body to ascertain the cause of death.
Initial Hypotheses on the DJ's Death Following Spanish Police Intervention
According to some local sources, the Italian DJ's death may have occurred after an intervention by the Spanish Civil Guard. Some witnesses reported a private party in Ibiza with loud music: the police allegedly intervened, and according to some testimonies, Noschese had an unspecified altercation with the officers.
From there, his lifeless body was reportedly transported directly to the morgue, bypassing healthcare facilities. As of now, there is no official confirmation regarding this reconstruction of events.
