CATALONIA BAD WEATHER: TWO MISSING AMID TORRENTIAL RAINS
Firefighters and agents of the Catalan police are continuing their search for two people reportedly swept away by the swollen Foix River in Cubelles, Barcelona province. This incident occurred due to the torrential rains that have lashed Catalonia and Spain's Mediterranean coast over the past 24 hours. Following the passage of Dana (an isolated low-pressure system in the upper atmosphere) over the north-central Iberian Peninsula, which caused damage and severe disruption, the primary concern for Civil Protection authorities now are the river floods caused by the downpours.
