BOLD HEIST • Four suspects, one of whom was armed, robbed the jewelry store inside the Ritz Hotel in Lisbon, making off with luxury watches and jewelry valued at an estimated one million euros. They escaped the scene on scooters before authorities arrived; police are still searching for them.
Four individuals executed a daring robbery at the jewelry store located inside Lisbon's Ritz Hotel this Friday, stealing luxury watches and jewels valued at an estimated one million euros, as reported by CNN Portugal. The suspects, at least one of whom was armed, managed to flee the scene on scooters before law enforcement could intervene.
The robbery, which took place at 11 AM, was captured by surveillance cameras, and at least one of the robbers had an uncovered face. The hotel's security team immediately alerted authorities upon realizing what had happened through the camera footage.
The suspect armed with a pistol reportedly threatened both staff and guests who were present in the store at the time of the heist.
The Public Security Police (PSP) immediately set up a search team near the hotel and in nearby metro stations, expanding the operation perimeter and deploying criminal investigation units. However, the assailants are still at large, and the search continues.
