The arrested individual is a 16-year-old boy, and the arrest reportedly took place just hours after the homicides. Authorities are remaining tight-lipped about the details of the firearm used and the circumstances surrounding the incident. The assailant had fled on an electric scooter after the shooting inside a hair salon and was later arrested at his residence.

Victims Aged 15 to 20, Gang Links Investigated

During a press conference, Swedish police chief Erik Akerlund confirmed that the victims were between 15 and 20 years old, though he added their identities had not been "one hundred percent confirmed." Swedish media outlets report that police are investigating the possibility that the victims were affiliated with criminal gangs. One of the victims was known to law enforcement, and police had been investigating him in connection with an attack on the leader of a rival gang, Ismail Abdo, according to local media reports.
