Manhunt Underway in Germany After Three Found Dead

WEITEFELD, GERMANY • Three individuals have been discovered dead in a residence in Weitefeld, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Police have launched a major manhunt for the perpetrator(s), who are believed to be at large. Authorities have issued a warning to the public against picking up hitchhikers in the area.


Weitefeld, Germany, April 6, 2025 – 11:06 AM – Three people have been found deceased in a home in Weitefeld, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Police are actively searching for the person or persons responsible, who are believed to be on the run.

A police spokesperson informed the German news agency Dpa that an appeal has been issued to avoid giving rides to hitchhikers in the area. The triple homicide reportedly occurred in the early morning hours within a residential complex.

The village of Weitefeld has been completely isolated by law enforcement. Media representatives are also not permitted to enter the town. Police are on site with a significant presence.
