EASYJET LAUNCHES 22 NEW ROUTES FROM MILAN LINATE AIRPORT

EasyJet Launches 22 New Routes from Milan Linate Airport

MILAN, ITALY • EasyJet has inaugurated a new base at Milan Linate Airport, significantly boosting connectivity between Milan and the rest of Europe. The new hub features 22 routes, 17 of which are entirely new, marking a 145% increase in operations compared to 2024. New destinations include Frankfurt, Brussels, Ibiza, Tenerife, Vienna, and Copenhagen.

Milan, Italy, April 2, 2025 – 6:52 PM – A new EasyJet hub has opened at Milan Linate Airport. The base, operational since last Sunday, will connect the Lombard capital to the rest of Europe with a total of 22 routes, 17 of which are new, increasing operations at the airport by 145% compared to last year. Among the new destinations accessible via the British low-cost carrier are Lisbon, Barcelona, Luxembourg, Edinburgh, Oslo, Vienna, and Copenhagen.

New Routes from Linate

The new routes from the British low-cost airline at Milan Linate Airport include Frankfurt and Brussels, with connections already launched last Sunday. Flights to Figari (Corsica), Ibiza, Tenerife, and Split will take off for the first time in the coming weeks. From next autumn, the route to Gran Canaria will also be available. Other new destinations reachable with EasyJet include Vienna, Palma de Mallorca, Copenhagen, Manchester, Oslo, Edinburgh, Luxembourg, Barcelona, Lisbon, and Birmingham. Existing connections to Paris Charles De Gaulle, Paris Orly, London Gatwick, and Amsterdam have been confirmed and strengthened.

EasyJet CEO: "Italy is Our Second Largest Market"

"The opening of our new base in Linate marks a historic step for EasyJet in Italy, making it our primary market in continental Europe, and strengthens our commitment to democratizing air travel, making it more accessible, convenient, and efficient for Italian passengers," stated Kenton Jarvis, CEO of the British airline. "Italy thus becomes EasyJet's second-largest market, with over 21 million seats available to fly on more than 260 routes to and from 19 Italian airports across 4 bases: Malpensa, Linate, Fiumicino, and Naples. The idea is to increase connectivity with the lowest possible costs for passengers," Jarvis added. For the first time, "we are offering a large-scale low-cost alternative at this airport, where traditional airlines have historically operated, strengthening Linate's role as a gateway to Europe. Expanding our destination network is a fundamental pillar of our strategy: by connecting Milan to a growing number of European destinations, including new ones with direct flights, we intend to revolutionize the travel experience from Linate and stimulate local economic growth," the EasyJet CEO reiterated.

SEA Milan Airports: "Concrete Advantage for Linate"

"EasyJet's arrival at Linate represents a concrete advantage for the airport. Given that it's a slot-constrained airport, the use of higher-capacity aircraft with high load factors allows for particularly efficient use of available slots," observed Armando Brunini, CEO of SEA Milan Airports. "EasyJet's positioning is consistent with Linate's, thanks to its point-to-point model for European destinations. Furthermore, EasyJet's network will significantly expand the portfolio of international destinations compared to the current offering, which has primarily focused on connections to the main hubs of traditional airlines operating at Linate," Brunini reiterated.
